Austyn Gillete and Riley Hawk make there way out to the desert and shoot some footage for a Quicksilver Denim ad. Video looks like it was shot in 1975, but I guess that's the point.

1080's are so overrated
Pre-teen Tom Shaar is on his way to the X-Games this weekend to pull off another 1080 on the fuckin huge monster mega ramp. I get that the kid is young and he is doing 1080's but maybe he should snowboard if he going to be spinning that much.
But I will give it to Tom, he has set a world record for being the first person to land a 1080, and not having gone through puberty yet, wow, nice job dude! Mommy is so proud!

This shitty old park in New York recently got a facelift and now looks pretty legit to skate. Nice job guys!

Well its Nyjah again, whats new
I shouldn't even watch street league anymore because I already know who's going to win. Yep, it was Nyjah, he took the top spot at the Ontario, California Street League for his second victory in a row. Nyjah has now won over 500K from all the SL's. Shit is insane. Kid definitely knows how to skate a contest. Here's the final Highlights if anyone missed them.

Finesse skateboards full length video, Eyes On The Prize
Finesse skateboards isn't one of the big name skate brands out there, but these guys are true to skating and are super cool dudes. When I lived in San Diego, skateboarding with some of the Finesse dudes and being good friends with Rod James himself I know these guys are legit. Keep up the good work fellas and the video is sick!

Axion shoes are specifically designed to take skaters to the moon
Axion "Atlas"? more like "moon boot." Vitor Borger explains why the Axion "Atlas" is his shoe of choice and the shoe of choice for astronauts around the world. I have no idea how anyone could skate in a shoe that large.
I mean the Osiris D3's were the pinnacle of moon boot skate shoes back in '01 and people ate those fuckers up, I know I had a pair. The D3 was one of the most sold skate shoe of all time, but those times are long gone, so if your listening Axion, lets try a new marketing strategy, cause we all know it didn't work the first time around, but I actually prefer the old models to the new ones........

Are you fuckin kidding me?

Supreme spot with Jason Dill and Lil Tyshawn
Tyshawn Jones is an up and coming ripper riding for Supreme. Dill on the other hand still dresses like a retired sailor, did a little crack in his day and hands down still has the best flat ground back 360's. You sure are a kook Dill, but you are rad.

Dyrdek and Tosh to face off in tinseltown

Well its not official that they will fight, but Rob Dyrdek sure wants to. I guess Rob was pretty pissed off about Daniel Tosh's comments on the "Daniel's Childish Dreams Factory" web redemption video after seeing their Twitter battle. Tosh pretty much called Rob a pedophile on the show and now they are exchanging words back and forth. Here is the exchange between @robdyrdek and @danieltosh on Tosh's Twitter page:

ZING!! Point for Tosh, but I would like to see Rob beat the shit out of him.

Wasted skate fest 2012
Thats what this video should have been called, but Thrasher called it Rough & Tumble and there was all sorts of crazy shit going down, like a dude running trying to split the gap between a wall and a tree. What?
Serge takes flight and Daniel Tosh really doesn't like Rob Dyrdek
Well leave it to Daniel Tosh to completely bag on skateboarders on his show Tosh.0. He did the web redemption segment with this kid named Serge Murphy who gets rocked by a moving truck while skating. It's pretty clear from the segment that Daniel does not like Rob Dyrdek, I mean he has every right to if Rob took the idea of the Fantasy Factory from Daniel's Childish Dream Factory. He's got a point Rob, thats not cool to take someone else's idea.
Rodney Mullen helps people realize what we do
Found this video of Rodney Mullen talking at a TED conference at USC and well I started watching this and thought god damn this is so cheesy and lame. I kept watching and it watching actually pretty interesting and I got super into it cause Rodney breaks down what we as skateboarders go through everyday, even when we are not skateboarding. Every skateboarder will agree that it is next to impossible to explain to someone what happens when we look at a pool, rail, stairs or a bank or something cause for one, those people don't give shit, and two they just look at them as pieces of concrete. When we look at those things we see potential in possible throwing our bodies off them or slashing around them. The only person that is able to get so philosophical and deep into how skateboarders think is Rodney Mullen, this guy is a fuckin genius. He is a bit quirky, but the guy is an innovator and legend. Much respect!

It's always rad when this sort of shit happens
Well this post was going to be awesome, but the user removed the video from YouTube, basically Greco got in a fight with some dude named Chito. Im glad to hear that he is living up to his skateboarder persona and acting like how a professional athlete should. Im mean seriously nobody, I mean nobody is allowed to say anything about Greco or his board graphics because you see what happens when you do. You get rocked like this dude Chito dude did. Here is the only little bit I could find on the internet from the fight. A crappy thumbnail.
Dude looks psychotic. If the video miraculously comes back up here, Google "Jim Greco gets in fight". But here is the Chito dude's side of the story from his comment on HellaClips:

Damn, fools got beef all over in L.A.
Anyways since there is no more video of the fight here is some classic Jim Greco footage.

Zoo York cuts the skate team program
Well Zoo York cuts their entire skate team besides the two people still under contract, Brandon Westgate and Chaz Ortiz. That's going to be one lonely Zoo York tour. I think Brandon should say fuck you to Zoo York and bail. I don't give a shit about Chaz, he can do whatever the fuck he wants, but Brandon is a legit skateboader and deserves to skate for a company that doesnt only care about making money. Here is a quick preview to the interview that ESPN had with Zared about the cut.
Here is some crazy dude talking about it
Well all I gotta say is Zoo York sucks and Harlod Hunter is probably rolling over in his grave from what the assholes have turned Zoo York into. Shame on you Zoo York.
ESPN: What's the story over at Zoo York these days?
Zered: For myself, basically I didn't get resigned. I was going to quit at the end of last year, they didn't want me to so they offered me a raise, so I stayed. A month or two into 2012 I still hadn't resigned. When I tried to resign the dude wasn't ever available and finally they said they didn't want to resign me or resign anyone that wasn't under contract. Basically, they're not trying to pay dudes more than a couple hundred bucks a month.

What's their reasoning?
Once again, new people coming in buying the company and they don't understand skateboarding and think they don't need a skate team to have a skate company.

So they're completely dismantling the skateboard program?
I don't think so but I couldn't see how long it could last with they way they've treated people.
I don't think so but I couldn't see how long it could last with they way they've treated people.
How long has it been going on like this?
At the end of last year everything seemed cool and mellow and one of the main guys was saying, "Yeah, we want to put the most money that's ever been put into the skate program. We want to get you guys traveling more". I was like, "Cool, let's do this". I don't know what happened between the holidays but come the new year it was totally the opposite with them wanting to save all this money and cut back.
Well all I gotta say is Zoo York sucks and Harlod Hunter is probably rolling over in his grave from what the assholes have turned Zoo York into. Shame on you Zoo York.
DGK and Trukfit Macy's hysteria
Yeah you read that correct, Macy's. ??? These fuckers are going apeshit over DGK and Trukfit. The only question I have is why? From the looks of that mall you would have thought Justin Bieber was doing a signing, nope just Stevie and Weezy. I would be more excited for a Biebs autograph signing.
Make sure to stop by your local corporate mega mall to pick up these super cool goods.

This gives skateboarding around the house another meaning
I remember when I was little I would practice skateboarding all over my house because there was all this shitty snow outside. I wish I could have had something like this dude.
Dennis and the boys just do a little warm up
Lowcard Mag puts out a little spot called warm up Wednesdays. Episode 1 shows Busenitz, Gravette, Adrian Mallory and Jeff Hill getting there day started with a mellow warm up. God this is a warm up? Wish I had that kind of warm up.
